Last year Corner, who plays for Cleveland in the British League, beat Humberside manager Tony Richardson 3-1 in the first final.

Richardson had taken the first leg but Corner gave an eggstraordinary Norman Collier impression and took the next three chicken legs.

The heats will be on May 20 and 27 with the final on June 3.

Also contesting the Dene Park Matchplay is Proffessional Darts Corporation player Lionel Sams, the recent winner of the Hull Open.

London-born Sams, who now lives in Dewsbury, is ranked among the top 60 in the world.

There is £500 to the winner and £200 to the runner-up.

The Humber Bridge Matchplay and the Krazy Pairs will also be held at the Dene Park Club later in the year.
